Özet
Ailede eğitim, çocuğun eğitim yaşantısının temeli ve başlangıcıdır. Çocuğun eğitimi, kişiliğinin gelişmesi ve sosyal hayata uyumun sağlanmasında vazgeçilmez bir kurum olarak ailenin, eğitim sistemi içerisinde de çok önemli işlevleri vardır. Bu durumda çocuğun gelişimi, eğitimi ve din eğitiminde belirleyici etkileri olan ailenin, din eğitiminden beklentilerinin belirlenmesi ve öğretimde uygulanması önemli bir ihtiyaçtır. Etkili bir din öğretimi için, program geliştirme sürecinde toplum ihtiyacı anlamında veli beklentilerinin saptanması; ev ve okul çevresinin bir arada olması ve birbirini tamamlaması, bütünlemesi gerekmektedir. İşte bu araştırma; velinin Din Kültürü ve Ahlak Bilgisi dersine karşı tutumunun belirlenmesi, dersle ilgili tartışmalara toplumsal beklentiyi ortaya koyduğu için açıklık getirecektir. Yapılacak yeni program çalışmalarına velinin beklentisini ve düşüncesini ortaya koyarak yön verecektir.

Abstract
Education in the family is the beginning and the base of the child’s education life. Family, as an indispensable institution, has really significant roles/functions in the education system in the child’s education, his/her character development, and his adaptation to social life as well. In this case, the determination of the expectations of the family who has important effects on the development, education and the religious education of the child, and its implementation in teaching is an important need. For an effective religious education, it is necessary to identify the expectations of parents in terms of social needs during the program development process; also it is of great importance that the school and family environments be together and completes each other. This research, the attitude of parents towards Religion and Ethics Course, since it puts forward the social expectations with the course, will bring clarity to the debates. It will dominate the new program studies by putting forward the thoughts and the expectations of the parents.
